Privacy Policy

Short version: your video never leaves your device, and we don’t collect anything about you.
Decant extracts audio from your videos entirely on your iPhone or iPad using Apple’s on-device frameworks. It is built to do one thing privately.
What we collect
Nothing. Decant has no accounts, no login, and no analytics SDKs. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information.
Your videos and audio
The videos you open and the audio files Decant creates are processed locally on your device and never uploaded to us or to any third party. We never see them. Files you extract stay on your device until you choose to save or share them.
Photos and files access
When you pick a video from Photos or Files, iOS grants Decant temporary access to just that item so it can read the audio. Decant does not scan, index, or upload your library.
Purchases
Decant offers a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase (“Decant Unlimited”) to remove the free‑extraction limit. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details. Apple’s App Store privacy practices apply to that transaction.
Diagnostics
If you opt in to share diagnostics through iOS Settings, Apple may send Apple (not us) anonymized crash information. You can turn this off at any time in iOS Settings.
Children
Decant does not collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, we’ll update this page and revise the date above.
